Just curious if anyone else associates a theme song with their character or a song they picture their character fighting to.

I haven't searched very hard, but I like this one for my guy. Click Here

And I've thought of a couple others that I associate with other characters. Such as:

NTW: Don't know why, just do

Tengu: For obvious reasons

Drakol: Had to do it (It was the chocolate battle)

That's all I got for now.

I can associate Drakol to a number of songs, but I like using FF7 music the best. Usually the music depends on the battle; for instance: My last battle (to me) had the song J-E-N-O-V-A behind it.

I would need to search for Drakol's theme music, but I think it's something like the Turk's music.

Jenova definetly fits to Drakol vs Guage (Does that mean One Winged Angle is the PQ music lol)

Depending on the mood I can see many songs for Fummin.

Rummaging for food or Alchemic items
Happy insane goblin banter (Fits well with Musalis too)

But all in all I'm going to have to vote This for the win. Even more if somebody has to fight me in a dark place.

This and this are my two favorite battle songs. While I'm writing, I usually listen to metal, especially Pantera. It's worked out pretty well so far.

As for themes, here's a few(in case it isn't obvious, some of em are jokes):

Ein: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HVhQc7foXQ
Vius:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbUJilAbPQA
Fummin:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzHyiZxuNrc
Musalis:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UhsvyFStkg
Akmun:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFBbOHohwR8
Jaeger:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He82NBjJqf8
Kate:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IUyxooPCKw
Sutera:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ly9E30Hc5pg
Drakol:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id1nHRmFIg0
Chris:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPSDhTiNzRc
Jaedin:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFLGRidfFo4

Wow, I got a little carried away. Oh well, it was pretty fun. Hope you guys like em.

This idea has been done, but it's always fun to do again. =D

For me, Ein has a bunch of different themes... each one being a "turning point" in his character or something.

Quote:

Yeah, I know, I'm pathetic-- by the sheer number of video games I've played and own and based on the fact that I've thought about this so much already. Onwards to other people:

Josh, Guardian of DI:

Fummin, the Goblin:

Drakol, before his transformation:

Drakol, afterwards... maybe:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eczq0jLe-LI

Musalis, ahhh... yeah, joke theme:

Kate Darksmith, Heartbreaker:

There are many others that I just can't seem to place right now. Sorry to disappoint.

For Dahlia (even if she is fairly new), knowing her backstory provides a lot for music.

oso, you sicken me with your amazing ability to pick just the right music. Not just for character themes but also for setting the mood for your short stories. The PQ intro was a good read but the music really added a creepy, tense vibe.

I hardly ever remember music to video games, though I do think of this whenever I win or do good at anything. The music from Castlevania(especially Symphony of the Night) stuck with me. It still makes good battle music.

Thank you. If it means anything, I usually CAN'T write unless I have decent music for the scenario--I post like someone would explain a movie, methinks.

I found a really crappy version of Bloody Tears (like... SUPER heavy metal rock). I enjoy the song, but I couldn't find a version that fit just how awesome the song is. You did great... Symphony of the Night was ONE Castlevania game I didn't play. :(

My personal favorite Castlevania remix... is this one.

Okay, so I decided, just like OSO, to break Drakol down a bit. Unsurprisingly all of my music STILL comes from Final Fantasy 7. I will admit that I do like the stuff that OSO picked out for Drakol though, quite fitting for his overall persona. Better than ones that I could find. Think of all of these as moods that compose Drakol's being.

A murderous bad mood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H61dOMsL ... L&index=49
A regular bad mood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_C77Eaq3CDQ
(Chosen just as much for the name as the music itself)Plotting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cW3jE_Q49Mc
Brooding: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtPzScXRxhE
(Chosen for the scene from the game and the music) Love...?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY9gkwaz2m8
In over his head: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho1vZh1wFYA
Forethought and action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHm-jb4FqyA
Serenity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ky-cTSKlKQ

Might edit in more as I loop through my FF7 playlist again.

hey, oso, that super heavy metal version might be the Cradle of Filth track, though I can't believe that that band did a cover of Bloody Tears. It's not too bad but it's definitely a different take on the Castlevania music.

Yoz, I think the board as a whole has a final fantasy quality in that there are plenty of stories being told and they occasionally brush against each other but sometimes they never intersect. I think that's why the FF music(especially 7) is so fitting.

Nice music. I'm gonna steal some of OSO's when I'm battling next time. :P
