Name: Dementio

Class: Priest

Deity: Orthos, God of Slaughter

Race: Rathol (hyena-ish)

Alignment: Evil

Inventory: Clothing, dagger, Unholy Bible

Gold: -11

Pet: Hyena, named Jester
Spotted Hyena: A scavenging creature, native to the more desolate parts of DI. As a canine, the creature boasts claws and teeth, though this type has a stronger bite than most of its feral brethren. As it eats corpses for food, it holds no necessity for speed... making is slightly slower than the common wolf. Appreciated by evil people, as it holds a hostile grudge against lions and loves to slaughter them.

Boons: Drink of Mine Enemies

Skills List: Strong jaws, Psychosis, Bloodlust

Biography: The alchemist, having created the Kiltharr and the Rathol, decided to experiment and create a Rathol - but instead of using the common dog/wolf dna, he used hyena dna. He figured it would mare the Rathol more powerful. The result? He was right, in a way. The new Rathol had a stronger bite than his normal counterparts, and slightly bigger. He was slightly slower, but it really made no difference. However, since the alchemist had never used hyena dna before, he didn't quite know how to proceed - which created the Rathol's biggest flaw: Insanity. The creature's insanity made it so savage that it immediately tried to kill the alchemist. He, however, put it to sleep with a dart and chained it to a cell so he could find a way to mend the Rathol's mental illness and turn him into the fearsome warrior it was meant to be. However, Dementio, as the Rathol named himself, broke loose from the chain, burst out of his cell, and killed the alchemist. Then, still hungry, he ran all the way to a cemetery to find corpses to eat. In the cemetery, a priest was checking on the graves - and Dementio wasted no time and devoured the priest. Then he dressed in the priest's robes, put on his top hat, and read the bible that the priest had. It was about a so-called "Orthos", a god of slaughter. Dementio immediately liked this god, as he could provide him with endless, glorious food, and became a priest of Orthos. Then he fled to an abandoned cemetery, in which nobody had set foot for over 200 years. He made his home in the mausoleum. Here he became infested with corpse-eating parasites that will never leave him alone. His mausoleum is sometimes lit by an ultraviolet light of unknown origin, revealing a lot of paintings on the walls, as they glow under this light. And where is his cemetery? DI.

Pet Biography: When Dementio found his abandoned cemetery, he was surprised to find the mausoleum was already inhabited - by a large male spotted hyena. The animal clearly had his stock of food and wasn't about to leave and let Dementio live in the tomb, so the priest befriended the hyena, whom he named Jester. Ever since, they are inseparable companions and hunt, kill and scavenge together. Dementio often talks to Jester, but whether he can actually communicate with the hyena or he's simply insane is still up for debate. They do often joke together and spend hours laughing hysterically, though.

Physical Description:

--Height: 5.9 ft. (1. 80 m.)

--Weight: 176 lb. (80 kg.)

--Eyes: Red

--Hair: Fur, actually. It's brown, with a "mane" running down the neck from the base of the head, and black spots. Tips of paws and tail also black.

--Skin: Brown. But he's furry, so you'll never really see it.

--Special Markings: Scar in left eye and stitched-up Glasgow smile from battle with his creator, the alchemist.

--Special Traits: The stuff on his fur that is used to mark his territory, apart from being flammable, also has a special trait: When lit by ultraviolet light, Dementio glows a bright green. His parasites are visible when he glows, as they also glow in ultraviolet shades such as bright orange, blue, yellow, purple, and pink. Markings on his robe are also visible, as he painted an entire skeletal system in his robe, which glows a bright blue. His stole also glows in a bright purple. Dementio laughs about everything. That is to say, EVERYTHING. Even if he's being tortured. His hysterical cackle has an ominous sound to it. He's absolutely infested with parasites, and therefore scratches very often. They provoke sudden bursts of aggressiveness more often. He also reeks of dried blood and rotting meat. Not pleasant, but it makes no difference in battle.

--Dress: Black robe and purple stole, and a black top hat atop his head (offers no protection at all). All in tatters, and a chain around his neck.

Boons description:
Drink of Mine Enemies: Delicious, sweet, coppery... Almost vampiric in effect, Orthos causes Dementio to thirst for an opponent's blood. For a single attack, any wound dealt to an enemy drains their stamina, which then restores some of Dementio's strength. The more damage dealt, the more stamina is restored for Dementio. [Medium; 1x per battle]

Skills Description:
Strong jaws: He can deliver a stronger-than-average bite, making close combat slightly risky for the foe (weak).

Psychosis: He gives a lot more emotion to the prayer - the psychotic emotion of a psychopath, which is fitting to mention Orthos likes. This may make prayers more effective (medium).

Bloodlust: Once Dementio has drawn blood, he can locate his victim more easily. He does this via his sense of smell and general skill in following the drops of blood." (weak).
