Name: Zane Shadowcast

Class: Warlock

Race: Drow

Alignment: Neutral (Was evil due to dagger)

Inventory: Dagger of Silencing/Shadow's Bane, Madyrn's Cloak, "S" Pendant, Short Sword, The Essence of J'ah, 5 Throwing Knives, and some Rope.

The Essence of J'ah: The essence of J'ah is infused in him when the gods themselves interfered into the mortal plains and chose his body. Though the world was saved, Hiro received some of the power of J'ah. This custom item is a slither of J'ahs cloak, absorbed by his system. This allows Zane to go ethereal for 1 post, 2 times per battle. He cannot attack in that post, but he can't be harmed in any way, and can float, go through solid objects, and even travel into the earth...However, if he's in a position where next post he'll be in an item, he'll be stuck there, and might even die. Furthermore, the gods now watch Zane closely. This means that even mighty demons hold less of a grip over him. His weapon retains all of it's properties, but never again will the demon hold power over his actions. 2x per battle

Dagger of Silencing/Shadow's Bane: This dagger has been passed down by the top rogues of his home town, and has had its shape perfected so that it is aerodynamic and makes no sound as it moves. Also, the dagger is made of enhanced steel (To withstand the shaping) and is mainly used for silencing (As the name says). Although J'ah has now caused him to be immune to Shadow Bane's demons, the dagger is still cursed with the agony it holds. Finally the dagger is made so sharp that it can pierce light mails and weaker (weaker chain mail and lower.)

Madyrn's Cloak: A gift from the now weakened demi-god Madyrn. The cloak itself feels to be exactly like his normal cloak, despite a few significant differences. Providing full-body protection minus the feet, the cloak itself has the strength and mobility of studded leather armor. In addition to that protection, the hood has been designed to cut down the intensity of visible light to a minor degree. Bright flashes of light however will still be seen easily despite it's ability.

Gold: -6 gold with interest.

Specials: N/A

Spells: Darkness Lash, Shadow Draw, Shadow Dissipation V.2, Madyrn's Sight, Shadow Shards.

Darkness Lash: The warlock tears a piece of the shadow weave and uses it to lash out at the opponent. This "whip" is only around for the post it is invoked, and has a relatively long range. The damage is comparable to what a whip-lash would be. [Dark, Weak/Fast/Warlock] 2x Per Battle

Shadow Draw: Pulling the dark powers from his soul, he can create an invisible line to his weapon(s), and then warp them into his hands within a blink of an eye. (3x uses per battle) (Weak Custom Spell)

Shadow Dissipation V.2: Within Zane, there are shadow spirits that can give him amazing sudden powers. These spirits use themselves as a fuel to turn Zane into a shadow for a very short time, and he then focuses his spirits on the place he wants to appear again. (2x uses per battle, teleportation is instant in a six step radius) (Medium Custom Spell)

Madyrn's Sight: By channeling his shadow spirits to his head, Zane's skill Shadow Sense gains a temporary boost. The post Zane uses the special, he can instantly see 360 degrees regardless of lighting and obstructions. The next post this sense is extremely dulled down and Zane's shadow sense skill is reverted back to normal. In the third post, Zane loses his shadow sense skill temporarily and is overcome with a severe head-ache, making it difficult to concentrate. 1x per battle. (Shadow Senses return after the head-ache subsides) (Weak Custom Spell)

Shadow Shards: The warlock gathers a few shards of the shadow weave into his hand and propels them forward at decent speed. They act like shrapnel, and can pierce light leather. The caster must know Darkness Lash before learning this spell. [Dark, Medium/Fast/Warlock] 3x Per Battle

Skills:Substitution, Speed Demon, Shadow Sense, Symbol of the Shadows, Dark Divinity.

Substitution: Often, spells have a prerequisite, which means that one must learn the most basic version before learning the more advanced. While this prevents the warlock from using certain magicks sometimes, this skill allows them to 'substitute' weaker spells in place of more powerful ones. By consuming 2 use of a lower-tier spell, the warlock is able to cast a more powerful version of it. This only works with 'tree' spells and, by doing so, they put a great amount of stress on their body. After invoking a substitution, they are unable to cast spells for 2 posts afterwards. (Class Skill)

Speed Demon: Since the days of his childhood, he has always been a bad person. This running all the time from place to place has granted him extra speed, and allows him to see faster attacks coming by slowing them down mentally, with his mind. Finally, this skill name was given to him because as he uses his speed, he seems to be possessed by the Devil. (Medium Skill)

Shadow Sense:Through years of working with shadows, Zane can now "sense" where shadows are and can use them better to his advantage. This means that Zane can tell where shadows are without looking and he can use them better for camoflauge. (Weak Skill)

Symbol of the Shadows: When meeting Madyrn for the first time, the overwhelming choatic affect it had on him drove him closer to his final destination. The Demi-god after putting knowledge into his subconscious, engraved a sign into Zane so that all would know that he was chosen. This symbol on his wrist has made his body slightly easier to spot because when his special abilities are used, it glows a bright ruby red. In addition to this glowing, Zane's body has even better reflexes than before. (Weak Skill)

Dark Divinity: During his battle with Drakol, Zane's body was introduced to the shadow weave. As the mana in the air mixed with his ethereal state, the ability to use it became clear. Although his shadow spirits would always be of use to him, the shadow weave seemed to be a much more efficient way of creating new and interesting attacks. Sadly, although his body had gained the ability to use the weave, it had come at the price of some of his natural agility and speed. This episode has also transplanted many of Madyrn's memories and powers into Zane. However, the injuries he's sustained prevents him from readily using them in battle. From this point, Zane Shadowcast can no longer consider himself a rogue, nor can he call upon or create rogue-like abilities. Instead, he is a Warlock who relies on the powers of the Shadow Weave. (Strong Skill)

Biography:

Since Zane was a child, he had always been mischievous. Stealing from the stalls in the market, robbing the towns, and he even ate the town's main attraction; DI's biggest house made out of pancakes. Zane that day found the power of his shadow spirits and used his powers to get in, and ate the house inside out.

As Zane seemed too be getting away for his crime, smoke suddenly surrounded him. He was trapped. Billowing out of every point around the thief, Zane started to inhale the knockout gas and he was dragged away into the shadows. It turned out that the organization of thieves in the town had been watching him for sometime, waiting for some sign of a new leader. They were looking for someone who had been gifted by the shadows and had the power to lead the group as a rebellion against the town. They had found their leader.

Zane then immediately took charge, and then three days later it happened. The band of thieves ran through the streets, destroying the people who had once mocked them for being different, and for being born into unwealthy worlds. The town was theirs for the taking. The guards of the city raced towards the band of rogues, swords drawn, aimed at the hearts of the troops. The band suddenly drew on the rage of their oppression, and demolished the guards without a second thought. With two bandits injured and one dead, there was the brave leader of the guard left standing alone. The leader drew his famed sword silverlight, as waited for the bandits to attack. The attack would not come.

Zane born with hatred, found it in him to call off the bandits with a grunt. This did not mean however that he spared the brave warrior. The group backed off and ran away to pillage as Zane shouted, "Come, just because I'm evil, doesn't mean I won't give you a fair fight." The attack came swiftly from the warrior, and went to finish him off before he could react. Calling forth the shadows, the blades appeared in his hand as he quickly dodged the sword. Silence, was all the dagger whispered as it drove deep into the man's plate, and death came to the man swiftly. Quickly he pulled the dagger out, and left the hero there to die.

After the rebellion, most of his life was spent honing his skills, and stealing from passing carts of goods when he needed them. Once in awhile though, he helps his fellow thieves for goods in return. However, passing off in DI as a common adventurer as he went through towns, Zane traveled from town to town without a major purpose besides finding out the secrets of his heritage, and while traveling through a town he had heard of a legendary creature named J'ah. This being was that of pure torment, killing those that dare threaten it's territory. Knowing the pure power of torment from his dagger Shadow's Bane, he set off to find the group of fighters that aimed to bring J'ah down. It was not normally in Zane to have companions, but he knew that to finish J'ah off he would need the help. Fighting an epic battle with the group, and in particular one psionicist named Ein, Zane finished off J'ah with a blade aimed to slay the ghoul. Replacing Sakura (Ein's Lover) where J'ah was... and in that instant Shadow's Bane was plunged. Zane cursed as he killed Sakura with the dagger, for it was not his aim to slay her, but there had been nothing he could have done to stop it. Cursing while crying at his act of treachery, he wandered away to be greeted by the soul of a dead Pegasus. Talking with him to realize his life's goal, Zane went off to find his destiny.

After walking through the land of the gods, he has started to reawaken the memories of his past. All the memories though that have come so far, have seemed to revolve around the dagger he was given by the group. Visions of the past, future, or present have flooded his mind about the shadows; himself as an indivdual, and where he came from.

After the battle with a past foe, Zane's ethereal powers distorted the very nature of his being. As he had used J'ah's power, the mana contained in the attack allowed the shadow weave to mingle with the shadow spirits within his body. Although he still was able to use his previous techniques with the shadow spirits, the new magic at his disposal was incredible. The shadow weave created the perfect medium in which to practice his art, the only downside being that it had slightly caused him to become less agile. After a venture into the land of the gods, the mana and the shadow weave solidified, allowing him to continue his journey.

Zane's new memories: Story of a Shadow

Physical Description:

--Age: 92 years old.

--Height: 5' 6 and 1/2"

--Weight: 115 pounds

--Eyes: Emerald Green except when using his specials (They turn blood red).

--Hair: Wispy Smoke White.

--Skin: Ebony

--Special Markings: Light indented scar on his right cheek running diagonally.

--Special Traits: Light-weight and Sarcastic. He also bleeds a murky black blood with a reddish tint.

--Dress: A dark black robe with a hood and cape that conceals almost his entire body. He hides Shadow's Bane on his right, and a short sword on his left. Bands of rope are tied onto his arms and legs, and the throwing knifes are stored normally around his waist.

Please add strengths to your skills and specials. The terms of strength seem to work out for a starter char, just add the strengths to the skills and specials for re-approval.

Won Battle with Shin, paid 2 gold of my debt out of gold. I have 2 gold lying around since I need three to pay off two.

Have gotten Devil's Smite approved (By Leboyx)

Devil's Smite: Zane while holding his cursed weapon Shadow Bane uses the possession to increase his speed and power twofold. During the possession of Zane, he also powered by his shadow energies that keep him alive during the process. There are two downsides to this; Zane's attacks that post become blunt, and while after possession he is tired for the post afterwards. (2x uses per battle) (Twice as fast and twice as powerful, Zane is tired 1 post after use and attacks are blunt during Devil's Smite) (Medium Special)

Shadow strength=medium

Duel blade mastery: I'm not completely sure I understand it.
You can duel wield a dagger and any other 1-handed weapon, You're able to swing them both with one attack, and you can controll which one deals more damage during a swing.
If I understand it correctly, it equals a strong.

Okay, so what if i made shadow strength less strong (2 times as strong) but still had the same side affects.

Then with dual blade mastery I changed it to just allows him to wield two weapons well, meaning that he is just as skilled in his right as his left.

Got skill approved:

Not exactly word for word DC, but it's got the general idea.

Maby to light weapons (very light sword and down).

As far as duel weilding goes:
Cambat=free-weak,
agility= medium to strong (Assassin is the exception, dual wielding the small daggers),
caster= strong-powerfull.

Okay, making changes to profile now.

Now one problem, I have to have 2 weak skills and 1 med to start with, but if I make Dual Wield Medium, Speed Demon has to come down also...
