She had been been wondering what had the sheep still standing around when the two bodies hit the ground limp. She could have almost smiled, but her sharp ears picked up the mutterings before hand, and instinct made her cringe instead. As the man made his appearance, she had to agree with the samurai's observation-- this one was definitely more easily attacked. Watching how he moved and such, she frowned a little. The man before them, Pure Evil as he called himself (in a strange multi-voice that fit the added plurals) had the same gait as Destruction, yet it was slightly altered to fit more to the duster and jeans he was wearing. What confused her though was that the man seemingly was on the ship at the same time they were, the sopping wet indicating that was true, because anyone who was on that ship was now wet. Except for her, it seemed, since with her lack of clothing, she had dried out fairly quickly in the sun, save for the whip of her hair which was still dripping slightly. Either way, his story seemed to fit, even though she didn't remember seeing him on the ship at all...

She saw how the man seemed to cradle his one arm, as if he had been in a fight already. Add that to the coincidental introduction of dead bodies and self-absorbed speeches, and she could have sworn they were basically the same person... but that would be absurd. It would explain how he was on the ship as well, and the similarities, yet people just didn't walk around with different people in them attacking others, did they? She put that t the back of her mind as she got down in a crouch, her kris out in her right hand, left on the ground.

She didn't give any indication she had heard Xander's plan, instead going into motion at the same time he was, his vertical swing giving her the distraction she hoped as she whipped around the mans left side, hoping to stab him below the ribs through the duster as she got closer to the man. If he was the same person, then he may give her the same attitude she had gotten before, and this time without a cannon to prove her point, she would have to make it much more personal...

(Sorry about this. Three papers and a program and a half ate my time like a fat kid does to a cake.)

Faust sat on a near by crate and hung his head. Even if he was strong enough to take back his body from the sins right now, the momentary exchange would probably get Faust killed. The sins had broadcast quite clearly that they were there for a fight by killing the man. The sins had also managed to piss off the two people from the boat that had nearly manged to kill Faust earlier. But mostly, Faust just grieved for the bystander who had died. The nameless man had just been trying to help, completely unaware of what he had been doing. This sort of senseless violence was what had given birth to the sins, it was only expected that they would continue the tradition.

The samurai and animal woman wasted no time in questioning the validity of what the sins had told them. They had immediately sprung into action. But Faust didn't really blame them. There was a day long past when he would have instantly sprung into action against a man who claimed to be evil and had just slain a man in cold blood. But those days were long gone and Faust had slowly become that evil man. He hated it and the sins loved it. Faust was still lamenting this when a mass of mangled red armor sat down next to him. Destruction looked horrible. A huge chunk of armor was missing from the front and part of the helmet was blown away, revealing the empty interior. Even though the sun was shining brightly, there were deep shadows within the armor that no sunbeam pierced. It looked like a gaping wound into the abyss. The armor just looked tired and beaten at the moment. Faust wasn't even bothered by how close it was. Turning away, Faust looked back at the battle.

The samurai had rushed right in head first, charging the sins with sword held high. It was the kind of reckless action that the sins normally engaged in. But at this moment, the sins were strangely calm. They hadn't even reacted to the woman running around to the side. Faust was well aware that the sins wouldn't be able to do much with that arm. Faust had barely been able to move it much and, even though the sins were admittedly a bit better when dealing with pain, Faust knew the sins wouldn't be able to fend off a second attack with the arm. The sins still had the man impaled on the end of their wakizashi and hadn't taken a step in any direction. It was completely unlike them. At the last second before the samurai's sword came down in a killing blow, the sins took a single step. It was just a small side step to their right. At the same time, the sins pushed the man on the end of their short sword into the spot where they had been standing. It was a brilliant and thought out move for the sins. Faust had fully expected them to be the ones running in and swinging wildly.

The dead man had been turned into a literal meat shield. The samurai's giant, vertical slash would now come straight down into the side of the dead man's neck and the animal woman's dagger was aimed right into the kidney. The sins waited until both weapons struck before they pulled their own sword out. Drawing it out in a 'J' motion, they pulled it down far enough that they could turn it and then changed the motion into an upward swing that would run along the side of the samurai's out stretched arm. The sins didn't have the force behind it to lop it off or anything like that, they just wanted to draw blood. They hungered for it.
