Maganic Wars Online Bases (part II)
Classes, card types, experience system, currency system

Classes: You will be able to select between 6 different classes (Warrior, Mage, Sorcerer, Rogue, Necromancer and Cleric) with a wide list of abilities and special attacks for each one.
-Abilities: each class has 5 different abilities whose power can be increased by adding skill points. They are all passive abilities (always on).
-Special Attacks: same as above each class has 5 different special attacks and its power can also be increased by adding skill points. When your ?Chi bar? (*) is filled then you can select one of your special attacks to use it. They will be quite powerful and will last a certain number of turns depending on the level.

Cards Types: cards now will have a type identifier which informs you about class affinity. This means some cards will be better for an specific class as its power could be boosted by some of that class abilities. Here is a preliminar list of the cards types:
    common
    dark/necro
    light/cleric
    phisical/warrior
    fire/mage
    lightning/mage
    might/sorcerer
    poison/rogue
    rage/necro/warrior
    chi/rogue/sorcerer
    dexterity/rogue
    metal/cleric/warrior
    enchant/necro/mage

Experience system: as you win battles you will be acquiring more experience and leveling up. The result of level up is that you will be able to add skill points to your abilities/special attacks and/or stats like chi velocity. It will also make you increase your health points and will let you buy higher level cards and items. The more level your opponent is the more experience you get if you win.

Currency System: each victory will give you a certain ammount of money (also depending on your opponent?s level). With this money you will be able to buy new cards, more powerful items and craft your own items (crafting will be explained on the items and cards post).


(*) Chi bar: a new bar that is filled turn by turn depending on your chi velocity stat. When it's filled it lets you discharge it by using an special attack.

some questions:

1) can any class use any type of cards ( like a necro can use fire cards?)?
2) how many chi bars can u fill?
3) u say that we can use a special attack when chi bar is full...does this mean that SSJ stats is going bye bye?
4) there will be guilds like it was mentioned in the site?

some suggestions:

1) u need to be a gold member and have a certain lv in order to create guilds (if guilds will be implemented) (c there could be a feature that people would pay to have it ^^)

2) when ur lv 1, u dont get all 5 special attacks, u can use only one,and u can unblock the other special attacks by lving up or using the other special attack in a certain ammount of uses (like u need to use special attack one 20 times and be lv 5 in order to unblock the 2nd special attack

3) if SSJ evolve stays in game, in order to be like SSJ 7, u have to have a certain lv (lets say lv 30, since a SSJ 7 could have like 30 bonus of attack, and also it would be really hard to evolve to that stage ^^

4) also, in order to use 2nd special attack,u need to fill ur chi bar twice without using ur 1st special attack in order to be able to use the 2nd special attack ^^

>>Yep, for a first approach we've decided that all cards can be used by any class, it's only that some cards will be better for some classes. But yeah in a future there could be specific decks for each class, apart from common.

well guild can be like clans:
a small group of people that go on tournaments, a small comunity that trains together ^^
if the rooms thing is implemented (lv limits to enter in some rooms) guilds could have a room only for them, so they can discuss guild wars, tactics or even training ^^

im happy that u like my ideas ^^

yea guilds, clans, same thing
and if maguas follow my suggestion,ull need a certain lv and need to be a gold member in order to create guilds (this prevents people of massive guilds creations with 1 guy only x.x)

wow, i cant believe i missed both of these announcements until now, anyways it all sounds awesum but i do hope we can pay somehow other than paypal because I can't pay throu paypal because my mom doesnt let me use her credit card online for anything, and I really don't want to be limited to only 3 levels

P.S. I really admire you two, I have been learning flash since february but have not yet been able to attempt anyting like this, i hope one day i can make a game as great as this

We are thinking about alternative ways to pay the gold account. Don't worry about that.

About learning flash, that's something that needs some time but you'll finally learn how to make your own games for sure. Try making a simple one, be original. Games don't have to be complex in order to be funny, just think what you'd like in a game. I'll galdly take a look at it when you have something playable :wink:

what type are eqipment cards enchantment yah i see a a metel sheild as "Enchated"<scarsim> and the necro has way to many types (4 the most have have 3 some have 2)a 7th class whould balecnece thiscofghsmiththatgainsbounsfromequipmentcardscofgh an why are fire and lighting both only bosted for the mage i mean if there are no elment a least make that one magic anfinty

if you have a suggestion then suggest it so it is readable not as a long line of garbage, but that isnt true necro doesnt have 4 different cards, it only has three, and the cards are not the only thing each class has so the classes other abilities will probably balance it all out
