Well, with all the regular cards and the + and ++ cards out there, I say we simplify it a bit.

As you play, you build up energy, right? Why don't we let the energy determine the strength of the card.

For example

I use a Piro

I have 90 energy.

Piro (Low Damage) costs 20 energy [4 dmg ]
Piro (Moderate Damage) costs 60 energy [10 dmg ]
Piro (Heavy Damage) costs 120 energy [16 dmg ]

And for heal/other cards

Heal (low) 20 energy [Heals 5]
Paralysis (low) 50 energy [1 turn]
Paralysis (Moderate) 100 Energy [2 turns]
Curse (low) 40 Energy [ - 3]
Curse (moderate) 90 energy [ - 7]
Vampire (low) 40 energy [Drain 5]

And for minion cards

Parapet (Low) 100 energy [ does 6 dmg and takes 1 hit]
Parapet (Moderate) 200 energy [ does 12 dmg and takes 2 hits]

Etc. and so forth

This would prevent using gigantic cards right from the beggining and would balance out gameplay between being ssj AND using huge cards to you having to drop an energy level to use anything huge.

It really would stop anyone from becoming a powerhouse during a match. I think, probably some flawed logic in there somehow...

(Note: Just made up the energy costs in my head, dont bash me about them!)

Please, correct me if I am wrong...

As I heard there will be a Chi bar in mwo. As you play it will incerase, and when it reaches its maximum you can perform a special attack (that probably depends on your class).
Anyway, what would happen if you start a turn with 0 energy?
In Mwo cards will be divided in 30 levels. On start you will be able to use only lower lvl ones, until you level up your character a bit, and get a chance to put better cards in your deck.
Cards having different power would make them less unique, in mwo card system is going to be improved alot, so we shouldnt be worried about that.

I like this idea. It gives another reason to the energy cards instead of 'powering up' levels.
