An Unlife (Biography): Once, somewhere in DI, a little girl was born with the name Isabell. She had amacing magical talent, but her talent was never to be used. When she was four years old, a great war broke out, and her family ran away. But there was no place to hide, the war was everywhere.
For two years, the small family went through a large area, and the war was everywhere. Isabell was marked by all the blood and death she saw. She began to fear death, with an unusally intensity.
Then, on her sixth birthday, Isabell was killed during an attack, with an axe with made a hole on her forehead. Her soul was still extremly frightened by death, and clinged to her body. Thus, it did not return to the spiritworld (or whereever souls in DI go)
The soul was still in the body, but it was asleep, as the body had died.
And while the soul was asleep, it forgot... forgot about its former live.
Things remained this way, until one day a young man came by playing on his flute. The music triggered the soul and woke it up. It also created the desire to hear more music.
With the magic still left in it, the soul managed to raise the bones of the long-dead girl, and thereby created a new body. But by then, the young man had gone.
The skelet began walking unsteady, seeking for more music. Eventually, it came to a temple of Ochre. The inhabitants were first afraid of the walking bones, but the skelet did nothing nut showing an interest in music, so they setteled after some time. In this temple, the undead got a new name, since it couldn't remember its real. The new name was Musalis. Musalis became a priest of Ochre, and lived a peaceful live in the temple. But not for long ? the temple was attacked, and destroyed. Musalis had to start walking along the roads in DI.
However, she was followed by the people who had attacked the temple, and she had to flee into the mountains. The others managed to follow her, so the situation seemed hopeless - until Musalis suddenly was teleported away, to the plains of Argus. She had been brought there to be trained in the art of fighting by Krae. (to view the fight, look in the battle listening section) The fight went extremely bad for Musalis, until Ochre came to help her out - quite effectively. This was the first time Musalis met Ochre personally.
The fight finished, Musalis had to get out of the plains. A task which proved to be quite difficult. The plains were huge, and Musalis walked for a long time without meeting anything else than grass. After a long time, she eventually came to a change in the flat grassland. It was a little top. Musalis went there to pray to Ochre in a fullmoonlight. But the top turned out to be a graveyard, and the moon vanished behind clouds, so the moonlightprayer had to wait. Instead, Musalis had to fight with an animist, Randal.
The fight with the animist proved dangerous to Musalis health, and she could praise herself lucky to survive. She also learned an important lesson: Never let go of your Bible.
Musalis had promised Randal to answer him a few questions after the battle, about her undead life. As an animist, he was of course interested in this topic. So the priestess went with the Animist, to answer questions... and maybe get some answers herself.
However, Randal soon lost his interest, and threw Musalis off the undead elephant they had been riding. Musalis continued in another direction, as she was unsure if Randal would kill her if they met again.
She came to a river, and took the ferry across to get to Podom. On the ferry she had a battle with Hiro, a martial artist. She got into some serious trouble in that battle, mostly because she failed to pray long enough to please Ochre. Wether it was the God's intention or not, his gift that seemed pretty powerless turned out to create a disaster. It was a small black flute, which could create a tone that would scare her opponent. But when she used it, the flute scared more people than Hiro, in particular the driver. Without a driver, the ferry raced uncontrolled towards the riverbank. Musalis jumped off in time, but Hiro lost his mind in the crash.
Musalis walked along the river-ground, and no monster stopped her, even though there were enough of them in the river.
As she finally could leave the river behind her, she was forced by another martial artist to fight, this time a guy named Darious. Darious wanted to fight her because of his strange idea of honor, which by the way got pretty much destroyed as a result of the fight.
Anyway, Musalis had a really hard time fighting Darious, and lost both arms in progress, which were thrown into the river. In the end, both she and Darious decided that they actually had had no good reasons for fighting, so the two of them stopped.
Just than, Scott came riding. Scott was a man which had been possessed by Randal, the necromancer Musalis had fought earlier. Scott got Musalis to join his clan, the
Rebirth.
Then some things happened which are confusing, but in some way Musalis ended up attending the Foundations Tournament.
Done with the tournament, Musalis was walking around happy with herself when she suddenly was teleported to a black dock, where she came into trouble with a wizard called Drakol. The trouble was that she fell madly in love with him, and to get permission to follow him, Musalis was required to fight him. Of course the result consisted of lots of clashing feelings and little action, at least on Musalis' side.
Drakol span his net of love and control tight around Musalis, and she followed him blind and willingly. Drakol was on his way to challenge Gauge, a mighty wizard. Musalis didn't care as long as he allowed her to come with him.
One day, they stopped at a tavern. An elf named Vius insulted Drakol, which made Musalis really angry, and she decided to teach him some manners. It the resulting battle, a tavern was burned, and Vius was on the end of his power. Musalis herself was not harmed very much, but she had lost her bible to the flames.
Roughly two days after the incident at the tavern, in a barren wasteland, Musalis met Acheron. During this time, Musalis was going quite literally crazy over her love to Drakol; which made her mostly unable to think, and thus she doesn't really remember how the battle went (it finished early... ;)
Anyway, Drakol got a great showdown fight with Gauge, where Musalis got the great role of charging in and 'dying', as in getting her soul flung out of her body and her body smashed to pieces. Her death made Drakol win, though, and afterwards he took her to his clan holdings and restored her body.
The clan being the Circle, it decided to make Musalis a member, rather than Musalis deciding to join it... it's difficult to understand, but the clan holdings act on their own; new rooms appearing for new members (or their mothers) and such things. Joining the clan also lead to some weird experience resulting in her getting a link to the other clan members. This enables Musalis to sense their current feelings and position. Musalis eventually adjusted to it, although it in the beginning almost drove her crazy (again), when she was unable to sort out which were her feelings and which weren't.
Good Looking! (Physical Description): --Height: 96 cm
--Weight: 18 kg
--Eyes: None
--Hair: None
--Skin: None
--Special Markings: Her bones glow with mystical symbols in all colours from time to time. But, if someone would look closer at these symbols, they are not that mystical, but are notes. These symbols act as emoticons for Musalis, and allow her to blush (other things have not happened to her yet) Where they come from is unclear, probably from her resurrection.
--Special Traits:
--Dress: A lightblue robe with hood. Unfortunatly, it is a little too long, so Musalis has to be careful not to step on it all the time. The mage mail is worn under the robe, and therefore not visible.
Marvelous Abilities (Skills Description): Musical Talent:
Musalis has a great musical talent, and has learned to use this in all areas, including battle. This skill gives a medium boost to the effects of any skills, boons or items related to music.
(strong)
Magical Sight:
As Musalis has no eyes, she has learned to see the world around her with magic. This means she does not need light nor eyes to see. Therefore, she can see in dark places, and trough mist. She is not blinded by bright sun.
Also, she can se magic.
(medium)
Bible link
Through bitter experience in battle, Musalis has learned that her bible is her weak point. If it is taken from her, she can not pray.
To counter this drawback, she has learned to connect with her bible in a link that allows her to use it even when it is far away.
The link also provides Musalis with the ability to use it as if it had only a quarter of it's weight. (making it easy to 'wield' the bible) The actual weight stays the same, so the damage caused is not diminished.
(This skill is being found twice in my character sheet, because it is Musalis' skill, but related to Cindy)
(medium)
Instrumental Voice:
Musalis has the albility to change her voice so that it sounds like instruments. This may be useful in prayers to Ochre (especially since I don't have to write so much text if she sings music instead of words ^^) She may not speak while her voice is an instrument.
However, she is not good at this (yet), so the only instrument she masters to sing with her voice is the flute. She may use others, but she is not good
(weak)
Dance fight:
As Musalis has great skill in the musical arts, she also has great skill at dance. Through the skill he has derived the ability to fight so gracefully as if she was dancing. Thus she has greater agility in battle then normal. (and not only in battle ;-) )
(weak)
Balance
Musalis has learned to keep her balance, from two things: first dance, and second the fact that she has fallen quite often.
This skill helps Musalis to stay on her feet. If she stumbles, she can regain her balance before falling, and if she falls, getting up again is easier
(weak)
Crushable:
Skeletal Undead are weak against blunt/crushing attacks. They don't have flesh to bruise, which leaves their bodies somewhat frail
(racial)Weak Limbed:
Following along their other disadvantage, Skeletal Undead are weak-limbed. They're not very strong and, believe it or not, an arm can easily be forced out of socket
(racial)Bloodless:
Skeletons do not have blood and, thusly, cannot bleed.
(racial)
Magical Lifeblood:
The magics that sustain the skeletons increases their power and proficiency with magic.
(racial)
Blade Turning:
The glancing surface created by their bones gives the skeleton a resistance to slashing.
(racial)
Transcending the Ages(
Clan Skill): This skill binds the members of the circle together on an emotional level. Each clan member can now 'feel' the emotions of others of their clan, as well as the direction in which they can be located no matter the distance.(How each individual clan member feels this is completely dependent upon them and the structure of their mind.) There are times, however, when a bond such as this can prove to be uncomfortable or detrimental, and can be turned on and off by the members of the clan at will.
Distance does decrease the effectiveness of the 'location finder' (reducing it to general directions beyond fair distances)and emotions stop 'transmitting' two kilometers.
(Purely RP and does not function in battle)
Gifts from Ochre (Boon Description): Siren's Talent:
In life, Musalis harbored a love for music. Death never daunted such emotion. With Ochre's blessing, Musalis may infuse her musical voice with magic, seeping through to her opponent heart and soul. When heard, anyone within earshot will be affected with feelings of longing and regret: a nostalgic desire for something, though they may not know what. Thus, they may be less prone to fight, attack, or be more susceptible to sympathy and/or mercy. However, as with all sound, Musalis voice can still be muffled by other forces. 3x per battle
(medium)
Concussion:
The power of sound is often underestimated by many. More than simply soul-moving, music has force enough to move the body along with its spirit. Musalis has been gifted with knowledge of this power, and the ability to utilize it to a small degree. When Musalis touches both hands to one another (in any fashion and to any degree), an explosive blast of sound can be emitted from her skeletal frame, made all the more powerful by the resonating nature of her bare skeleton. This "shockwave" does not project from her body to a great degree (5 to 7 feet). However, those caught within this small range can easily be knocked back 2.5 times that. The blow feels like being hit with a "soft" brick wall, jarring the mind and the senses. 3x per battle.
(medium)
Cindy-Bible-Bash:
Armed with her trusted friend and theological companion, Musalis draws sudden strength from the sizeable & sturdy book. She can instantly close the distance between her and her opponent - up 25 meters - whereupon she [presumably] slams Cindy into them with thrice the force she normally could. So concussive is the strike that the recoil rebounds Musalis back several feet, removing her from the range of an immediate counterattack by her enemy. This recoil does not negatively effect Musalis: she lands firmly on her feet, as it she'd only hopped away. 3x per battle
(strong)
Battle Tuning Fork (Custom Weapon)

The battle tuning fork is the size of a short sword, and is mostly wielded as such, too. The difference is mainly the matter in which the battle tuning fork damages the enemy. Instead of cutting and stabbing, the battle tuning fork uses
vibrations. The battle tuning fork is tuned at tones much higher than can be heard, and those tones carry enough energy to do considerable damage. Each hit affects a medium area around the spot which was hit, since vibrations travel easily through flesh. The effects can vary; possibly including irritation, random bursts of pain when nerves are hit, numbness, uncontrolled shaking, internal and external wounds. Effects are stronger near the point where the battle tuning fork hits the enemy, and weaken with distance (meaning you probably will find wounds where the tuning fork actually hit, and irritation further away).
However, the real strength of the battle tuning fork in comparison to swords is that vibrations transmit easily through metal armor, shields and swords which might be used to stop an attack. Meaning that those will only weaken the effects of the battle tuning fork (due to the added distance); not stop them completely. The downside to this is that normal clothes reduce the effects somewhat, and anything fluffy is as good against the Battle Tuning Fork as armor is against a sword.
The battle tuning fork has a special handle, made of some secret non-vibration-transmitting material that allows the owner to wield it without putting her own life in danger.

Loyal Friend (Cindy, my Bible and Pet and boons/skills related to her):Advanced Bible

This is a holy book devoted to Ochre, containing a huge variety if information, mostly songs and prayers in song-form, but also some of the histories known about Ochre. Due to the sheer amount of prayers, this book is quite heavy. It is covered in light wood, and has intricate ornaments on its front. Its corners are further protected by non-rust-dwarf-metal.
The weight, the wood cover and the iron corners make it useable as an impact weapon, although it proves too heavy to wield easily.
But the bibles true power lies in the link it provides to Ochre, which is stronger than the one normal bibles haves.
A brilliant white Jewel is set in the middle of the front cover, shaped like a note. (this is a Good Jewel)
Summary:
- The bible is heavy, wood covered and has metal edges, so she can be used as weapon, but is somewhat difficult to carry because of size and mostly weight
- The bible grants one prayer on page 1, and two prayers on the remaining pages
Cindy (spirit)
Cindy is a little spirit, which happens to live in a bible. She can see and speak, but as she doesn't leave the bible, she can't do anything else. This includes harming anyone and learning specials. The reason for this is that Cindy is so much spirit that she can't affect the normal world except speaking.
Cindy will be hurt whenever the bible is hurt. But her presence in the bible will also make the bible stronger (since you have to do damage to both the bible and Cindy) and her presence will also increase the damage that the bible does when used as a weapon.
